Fish Cookbook – CJ Jackson.

How to buy, prepare and cook the best sustainable fish and seafood from around the world.
More and more peole are turning to fish, its well documented nutritional benefits are making it much more popular. But there are ‘so many  fish in the sea’ and some find it difficult to know what to choose and how to cook it.
This big Fish Cookbook is the most comprehensive book on cooking fish I have ever come across -  in fact I would say it is the best fish cookbook I have ever read!
Maybe that’s because it appears to include everything you could ever wish to know about fish. Uniquely this book features a comprehensive techniques section offering practical advice on how to choose and store fish and shellfish, as well as illustrating the different cuts of meat.

These days we’re all concerned about the failing populations of the honey bee, so when this book popped through the letterbox I was keen to read it. The Bee garden – Maureen Little, demonstrates how each of us can play a part in providing an enviromment in which bees can flourish. Little’s narrative is interesting to read. It details the bee colony and the life of the honey bee, and what it needs to survive. If you are going to plant a garden, why not optimise the plants you choose to attract and nurture bees. This is a beautifully illustrated book that makes extremely good reading. I highly recommend it. www.howtobooks.co.uk.
