respectorganics - make extraordinarily good organic cakes!
This Carrot cake is seriously delicious. As a family we love carrot cake and in my time I have made many of them, but this really is the best.
Also available in the range which is certified by the Soil Association, is a rich chocolate cake (not dairy free) - this was a great favourite with the children. Equally scrummy, the banana and ginger cakes which are dairy free.
Respect organics is not just a cake brand, but a way of life for the Adams family who passionately believe in good food, art and nature.
The cakes are baked by Potts Bakers who were established in 1891 by Emily Potts. When her husband, John, died in his early thirties, Emily was left with five young children. To support her family she started baking at home and her children would take the bread and cakes to sell locally. The business prospered and outgrew the family kitchen, and the local squire agreed to build a bakery and shop, which still trades today at 514 Doncaster Road, Stairfoot.
Over a century on, Roger and Andrew Potts now own and manage the bakery, where skilled craft bakers and quality ingredients ensure the high standards set by Emily continue today. Potts is accredited by the Soil Association and once you try a Respect Banana Loaf you’ll know just why we work with this fantastic team of master bakers. The good news is they’re easily available in most supermarkets at around £2.00 or less.
