The hosepipe ban comes into force tomorrow

It's seems like a funny time to introduce a hosepipe ban in the East Midlands (it comes into force tomorrow), it hasn't stopped raining here since yesterday afternoon. That said it's the first real rain we have had here for months!

 

Nestle go the 'eggstra' mile..

3,000 tonnes of plastic waste go into landfil every Easter. It's great to hear that some of major confectioners are taking seriously this huge problem. Nestle UK have made all their Easter egg packaging 100% recyclable, so come on the rest of you!!

Sun burn in March, in Rutland - somethings occurring. Why do I feel we are going to be punished for this blissfull weather!

 

A Killer Shrimp & the Decline of the Tadpole?

Apparently a killer shrimp has arrived in the Norfolk Broads, and the tadpole is at risk from the drought. One of the biggest challenges to farmers in the next few years is water - whether too much, or too little. Farmers in England are going to need to change the way they work the land to cope with the drought.
